Redmond has long been known as the “Hub of Central Oregon” and is located just four miles from the Deschutes River, a half-hour drive from the Cascade Mountains, within minutes of several picturesque lakes, and only 17 miles from Bend. Redmond is also home to Robert’s Field, Central Oregon’s only commercial airport, and the Deschutes County Fairgrounds & Expo Center.
An intimate yet fast-growing community, Redmond’s population has experienced a significant boost in the last 20 years, Redmond has transformed itself into a rejuvenated town with upscale restaurants, brewpubs, and lodging. Redmond’s downtown features the classic American main street, with two-story storefronts, community plazas, and a commercial district.
