As states slowly begin to reopen and stay-at-home orders loosen, people are ready to make a move

 

In fact, 77% of homeowners are preparing to sell, with half currently working on DIY home improvement projects, according to a recent survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors®:

“After a pause, home sellers are gearing up to list their properties with the reopening of the economy,” said NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun. “Plenty of buyers also appear ready to take advantage of record-low mortgage rates and the stability that comes with these locked-in monthly payments into future years.”

 

The housing market is on track for a robust recovery, and “…as the economy recovers from what will be the worst quarter in U.S. economic history, more consumers will be ready to buy housing that fits their needs as the year goes on.” (Source: REAL Trends)

In Central Oregon, buyer demand is high and activity is strong for both buyers and sellers. The latest stats from Central Oregon Association of REALTORS® for May 2020 show that we’re experiencing declining inventory, rising pendings, and steady median prices:
