Online furniture retailer, Joybird, wanted to uncover which interior design styles have been the most popular around the U.S. over the past year, and using data from Google Trends, they looked at the search volume for over 20 of the biggest design styles in each state. Here’s what they found:
Top 5 most searched design styles across the nation
- Modern Farmhouse
- Industrial
- Cottagecore
- French Country
- Mid-Century Modern
Oregon, overall, was found to be a fan of the Bohemian design style with the most Google searches for Boho inspo.
What is Bohemian style?
Bohemian or Boho style is a rule-breaking, personal, and exotic style of decorating a living space. Boho is inspired by people who choose to lead an unconventional life such as constant travelers, actors, and writers. The Bohemian style mirrors that life by combining objects, colors, and patterns from many areas of the world. If you are looking for a style that you can truly make your own, Boho might be for you.
